But it doesn’t change the fact that we’re fighting each other because of them.
Let me tell you something you might not realize.
Zillow is not making money selling homes. They’re stealing people’s names phones and emails and reselling them to 3 to 10 of us.
Then, like a set of vultures who’ve come across a new kill, we bang on the phones competing with the other L.O.’s to grab the business.
Meanwhile, the customer – she’s pissed off that 10 people are now hounding her.
The L.O.’s are angry too because everyone’s dropping their shorts to get the deal.
We beat each other up.
By the time they pick someone…there’s no profit left in the deal.
Happened to the car industry. They only make $200 or $300 a sale these days.
Now, to me…this ain’t sustainable.
That’s why we need to take matters into our own hands.
We’ve got to leverage our micro position in this macro-world. See the Zillows, Trulias, and Realtor.com will dominate lead capture and selling and re-selling those leads… and they do that on a huge Macro scale. Their advantage is deep pockets.
We have a different advantage.
We’ve devised a plan that will supplant any type of attack from these Macro beasts.
The plan avoids tech. It avoids one time transactions.
It focuses on relationships.
(The one thing these giants will never have.)
